A . GENERAL POLICIES

1. The abstracts must be submitted in English.
   
2. Individuals are permitted to submit a maximum of two abstracts as a presenting author. There is no limit imposed on co-authorship.
   
3. Authors must submit abstracts via email (coord@niaes.affrc.go.jp). Please note that abstracts submitted via fax or airmail will not be accepted.
   
4. If you do not receive submission affirmation within a week, please contact NIAES Research Coordination Office (coord@niaes.affrc.go.jp).
   
5. Abstract Submission Deadline: 2009-08-21, Fri. 2009-07-31, Fri.
   
6. Notifications of acceptance will be sent to the presenting author by August 20, 2009.
   

B . ABSTRACT FORMAT

1. Abstracts must be in MS word.
   
2. Use TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT. Follow the sample abstract for font sizes.
   
3. The abstract (not including title, author(s), or affiliation(s)) needs to be 300-500 words. It must not exceed 500 words.
   
4. Author and co-author names, institutions, and countries are to be typed under the title. First name should always precede the family name. Do not use initials for the first name. Use initials for the middle name (i.e., Hitoshi Toritani, Barak H. Obama). Do not include degrees or professional titles (Dr., PhD., Prof., MD, etc).
   
5. If authors‘ institutes/organizations are more than one, write numbers within parentheses after authors‘ names and list the institutes/organizations.
   
6. Leave one line space between the title/author block and the body of the abstract.
   
7. Abstract text must be single-spaced. Do not leave blank lines between paragraphs.
   
8. Do not include references, credits or grant support.
