現在の研究内容

植物が生産する生理活性物質に着目し、それらの単離・構造決定および周辺の生物に与える影響を研究しています。
現在取り組んでいる研究テーマのひとつに、特定のマメ科植物に含まれるシアナミドが果たしている生理学的・生態学的役割および生合成経路の解明があります。この化合物は最古の合成肥料成分として知られていますが、最近まで天然にも存在するとは考えられていなかったため、これからの研究で明らかにすべきことが数多く残されています。
