Research interests

I currently work with Dr Hiroko Akiyama, studying N₂O and CO₂ emissions from agricultural ecosystems. Using experimental fields at this institute, we research microbial approaches to mitigate soil N₂O emissions from soybean fields and mechanisms controlling N₂O emissions from coated fertilizers. I use ¹⁵N tracer techniques and ¹⁵N natural abundance to observe various processes related to soil N₂O emissions.
