Research interests
I currently work with Dr Hiroko Akiyama, studying N2O and CO2 emissions from agricultural ecosystems. Using experimental fields at this institute, we research microbial approaches to mitigate soil N2O emissions from soybean fields and mechanisms controlling N2O emissions from coated fertilizers. I use 15N tracer techniques and 15N natural abundance to observe various processes related to soil N2O emissions.
